Sydney Audio Club Meeting - July 2025

Picture
Sunday 13th July 2025: The July meeting will feature Active Speakers and an Amplifier from DanA Digital. Goran, from DanA Digital, will also present a TechTalk on 'The Benefits of an Active Loudspeaker System'.

The doors will be open from 12:30pm to meet and chat with members, before the Tech Talk at 1:00pm then followed by the regular monthly meeting and music from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

The doors will be open from 12:30pm to meet and chat with members, before the 1:00pm TechTalk and the regular meeting and music commences from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

The next club meeting for 2025 will be held on Sunday 13th July with the presentation of two active speakers systems and an amplifier from Dan A Digital.

There will also be a TechTalk given by Goran from Dan A Digital this month starting at 1pm to explain the benefits of an active loudspeaker system as well as insights into designing such a system.

The doors will be open from around 12:30pm to meet and chat with members before the meeting starts promptly at 1:00pm. If you happen to be late, just quietly slide into a seat and join the meeting.

There will be a 30-minute tea break after the TechTalk before the meeting concludes with a selection of music from the presenter to demonstrate their system.

Following this, there will be a 2nd tea break before we conclude  with one of our club members (chosen at random) presenting a selection of their music for approximately 15 minutes.

The final section of the music session is designed to help you evaluate the system with music that you are familiar with. All members and guests are welcome to offer music to share with us all. This meeting will include a turntable and CD player, so please bring along your favourite music on LP or CDs to share with the rest of the attendees. There will be NO streaming this month.

All we ask is that the music and recordings be interesting. We will ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played. Tracks over 6 minutes will be cut short to give everyone a fair go. There will also be a sheet next to the side table for members and guests to fill in with details of their selected tracks. The meeting will finish at 5pm.

Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, you will have the opportunity to listen, learn and share your experiences with others. Feel free to come and hear the capabilities of the system, or to just share the experience with like-minded music lovers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Guests are welcome – we are a very friendly club so you don’t need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound.
