The Audiophile Society - please reference the following, from David Chesky

"Dear Fellow  Audiophiles,

I hope this message finds you well. Some of you may have heard the news that my label, Chesky Records, was sold this past fall, as my business partners have decided to retire. That said, music and audio have always been my life’s work—and I’m not quite ready to go fishing just yet.

As a composer, musician, recording engineer, and producer, I still feel a deep desire to stay active in this world. That’s why I’ve launched a new venture called The Audiophile Society, and I’d love for you to be a part of it.

So, what is The Audiophile Society?

It’s my new label, focused on advancing the state of the art in sound while discovering and supporting fresh, young talent. Our goal for 2025 is to find and showcase exceptional new artists—to give them a meaningful platform and, hopefully, inspire a new generation of listeners to appreciate great music and high-fidelity sound.

This isn’t a company built around reissuing 70-year-old records on 500-gram vinyl. Instead, we’re recording innovative musicians using today’s best technology, with the aim of creating albums that sound truly exceptional.

I’m guessing that most of you reading this have some pretty amazing setups. So why limit the full potential of your audio system by playing recordings that hold it back from performing at its best? After decades of being locked into the traditional 60-degree stereo triangle, I’m trying to gently push the boundaries. Without using extra speakers, I’ve been working on a method  that I call Mega-Sound  to create a wider, deeper soundstage—resulting in a more lifelike and immersive listening experience. With our files, I think you’ll be amazed at what your hi-fi system can really do.

From a technical standpoint, I believe the best way to enjoy this type of high-end audio is through our locally stored files. To support this, we offer DSD files included with every PCM download, and for some titles, we’ve created dedicated headphone mixes—also included at no extra cost.

I’d love for you to be part of this adventure and help us support the next generation of musicians, while also keeping the spirit of high-end audio alive and moving forward.

Please visit us at www.TheAudiophileSociety.com to download a FREE 2025 Sampler. It includes 14 tracks across genres—jazz, classical, chamber, and symphonic—featuring both established artists and emerging talent making their first professional recordings.

In the spirit we all grew up with, I invite you to join us, support new music, and share in this journey. Let’s keep the flame of great sound and great music burning bright.

With gratitude,
David Chesky
Pianist, Composer, Engineer, Producer, and Life-Long Proud Audiophile
