Sunday 13th August 2023: Alex Wilson, from The Life Style Store, will be presenting a configuration of; Aurender Streamer, Lyngdorf CD Player, Rega Aethos Integrated Amplifier and PMC twenty5.26i Floorstanding Speakers.
Dear Members and Friends of Sydney Audio Club,
Following are the product details for the system configuration being presented:
Equipment Details:
Aurender A15 Caching Music Server Streamer
The Aurender A15 Ultra High-Performance Analog Output Network Player with Dual-Mono MQA Full-Decoder DAC, RCA + Balanced XLR Analog Outputs. The revolutionary A10 changed the paradigm for Aurender by introducing their first music server/streamer with a built-in DAC. A15 is the upgraded replacement of A10, featuring many new features and audible improvements.
The A15 is performance-packed with balanced analog outputs and a resolving dual-mono AKM4490 digital-to-analog convertor with MQA full-decoder technology. It also has two rear panel bays which can accommodate user-installable 2.5" HDDs or SSDs of up to 8TB each to store the largest of music libraries.

Lyngdorf CD-2 CD Player
Developed with the experience gained from multiple-award-winning Lyngdorf Audio digital amplifiers and CD players, this player is one of the best sounding pure audio CD players on the market. The CD-2 is designed for audio only, and for this reason, using a pure audio drive is both simpler and better.
The DA converter is built around the Wolfson WM8740 chip. This, in combination with the balanced design and very fine audiophile op-amps, results in outstanding sonic qualities.

Rega Aethos Integrated Amplifier
The Aethos stereo amplifier is housed in a brand new, custom designed case. Employing four 160 W 16 Amp output transistors per channel, this delivers 156 W per channel into 6 Ω. The Aethos is a dual mono design using a custom wound toroidal transformer and regulated supplies for the sensitive amplification and driver stages. The pre-amplifier stage uses class-A discrete circuitry throughout. The Aethos is a no compromise product with one goal, to deliver your music as faithfully as possible.

PMC twenty5.26i Floorstanding Speaker
PMC is respected worldwide for its soft-dome mid-range drivers, and the flagship twenty5.26i is the largest in the range and features a third driver dedicated to the all-important mid frequencies, where the critical detail is to be found in vocal recordings. The Twenty5.26i is a three-way design, and features PMC’s Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass-loading and Laminair vent technologies.
The three-way design ensures that each important frequency range has its own dedicated driver, so that the speaker can fill even the largest spaces with absolute transparency and clarity. This is a sublime speaker that can expand with you as you upgrade your system, and bring out the very best in whatever equipment you connect it to.

Meeting Details:
The Covid-Safe Rules as set down by the Epping Creative Centre:
We no longer need proof of vaccination status before entry. It is still a requirement that you sign in the Visitor’s Book and notify us if you contract COVID within the week following the meeting. Wearing a mask is not mandated but it is recommended. For individuals, they should not attend at the Centre if they are unwell and have the symptoms of COVID. If they have symptoms, they should undertake a RAT to confirm that they do not have COVID before attending at the Centre.
There will NOT be a 'Tech Talk' for this month.
We are also re-introducing a meeting segment from pre-COVID days where one of our members presents a short (20 - 30 minutes) program of music that is special to them. This meeting is covered, but if you would like to offer your music selection for the next meeting please contact the club via the email below.
If any club member has Disc Jockey fantasies please let us know and your dreams could come true.
The second half of the music sessions will be our popular BYO. Members and guests are welcome to offer music to share with us all. So bring along your favourite music to play on CD or USB. Sorry, no vinyl this session. If you would like a specific track to be streamed please co-ordinate with Alex during the break.
All we ask is that the music and recordings be interesting. We'll ask you to tell us a little about the artist/recording before it is played. Tracks over 6 minutes will be faded out, to give everyone a fair go.
Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, you will have the opportunity to listen, learn and share your experiences with others. Feel free to come and hear the capabilities of the system, or to just share the experience with like-minded music lovers in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Guests are welcome – we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound.
Venue: Epping Creative Centre, Dence Park.
Address: 26 Stanley Road, Epping.
When: Sunday 13th August 2023
Doors open: from 1:00 pm to meet and chat with members before the meeting and presentation from 2:00 to 5:00pm.
Break: from around 3.30 pm to grab a bite to eat and a drink.
Please sign-in in the visitors’ book. You are not required to wear a mask, but you may, should you wish to do so.
Once again please bring along friends, family and acquaintances to the meeting and enjoy an afternoon of great music and great sound.
Hope to see you there on Sunday.
