Sydney Audio Club Meeting - December 2022
11th December 2022 Meeting: Cameron Keating, from Max Media (from Melbourne), will be presenting Piega Premium 301 Bookshelf Speakers and a LAB12 INTEGRE4 MK2 Tube Amplifier.
Prior to the monthly meeting the Sydney Audio Club will be holding a Christmas BBQ Lunch.

The next meeting of Sydney Audio Club will be our Christmas Barbeque on Sunday 11th December where Cameron Keating from Maxmedia in Melbourne will be demonstrating the remarkable Piega Premium 301 bookshelf speakers. They will be driven by the new LAB12 - INTEGRE 4 MK2 version running KT150 tubes. Feeding the amp will be the just arrived INNUOS PULSE MINI powered by the external LSPSU.
Firstly details of the Annual Barbeque:
Please join us for a BBQ and a drink from 12.30 pm on Sunday to celebrate another great year for the Club. The BBQ offering (food and drink) will cost $5 per person. Partners are very welcome.
We are fundraising to purchase a data projector for the TechTalks for next year. Please bring along your previously treasured CDs, redundant cables or etc so we can add to the pool of fundraising prizes. The more tickets we sell the more money we raise. All prizes will be displayed on a table to be chosen by ticket winner in order of the draw. Please bring a donation of a prize that you would be delighted to receive.
Important: to help with numbers for catering please RSVP by 7th December if you and your partner are coming to the BBQ.
The Covid-Safe Rules as set down by the Epping Creative Centre still require that you sign in the Visitor’s Book and notify me if you contract COVID within the week following the meeting. Wearing a mask is not mandated but it is recommended.
Following the BBQ Cameron Keating will be presenting equipment from Maxmedia starting around 2pm. There will be no Techtalk this month.

Piega Premium 301 Bookshelf speakers. Based in Horgen on Lake Zurich, PIEGA develops and builds loudspeakers with the superlative quality and timeless elegance that comes from Swiss perfection. They are two way speakers in an aluminium cabinet with the highly detailed LDR 2642 MkII ribbon tweeter and a 140mm MDS low midrange driver.
If Cameron can fit them into his car with all them other gear he would like to demonstrate the Wireless version of these speakers as well for a comparison.

Amplifier:
LAB12 - INTEGRE 4 MK2 version running 2 KT150 tubes per channel producing 65 watts a side. Beneath the chassis, Integre4 hides a complex and sophisticated operating system that provides constant monitoring of all tubes and high-power electronic components, protecting them from any kind of harmful damage. The music presentation starts at 2 pm and finishes at 5 pm.
Guests are welcome – we are a very friendly club so you don't need to know anyone to join us for an afternoon of fine music and sound.
